Well hello hello.
It has been a while since I updated, I've just been so busy with work and the love life ( chicka chicka yeahhhh ;) ). So this will be my pole update, and hopefully I'll have some time to do an 420 earth blog post as well! Sorry I'm a little ansy today, I got my first creidt card today and well I wanna do some serious online shopping, but I'm fighting the craving cause I need to budget out my cash flow for my pole and my car insurance and just trying to save in general!!
So last time I blogged about pole. (Blog: I feel so nerdy saying blog) I think I was just gearing up to go to my first class later that week! Oh boy I love pole class, it is seriously so fun!!!
My first class went well, Erica(my bestest friend) is taking the classes with me and its awesome cause I don't get to see her as often as usual and class is a fun way for us to spend time together! Plus she loves to dance also. I'm taking classes at Studios in the Exchange. I know here in Winnipeg there are a few other studios ( I actually thought I was signed up for Divas on the Loose on Des Meurons[please mind my poor grammer as I have lived off this street for 15 years yet still can't manage to spell it] at first) ANYWAYS , so I emailed and contacted all the studios before I made a decision as to which studio to go with. I asked them all the same sort of questions, how much, how long are the classes and do you have to share the pole. ( whats the point? if your paying for an hour class and have to share, ew no thanks!!) So yes out of the like 3 studios I found only Studios emailed me back and she was so nice and personable, answered all my questions about pole. Class costs 130 bucks for a 5 week course ( im in begginner of course ) its pretty costly but I find its worth the cash right now cause I can't buy my own pole for a while ( $575 to get the new x pert x pole here in Peg city) so i'm gonna take these classes for now.
The lady im getting the x pole through. Shes on official disturber in Winnipeg. She tells me she also teaches lessons, right beside my gym so its closer to home and cheaper by ten bucks. Plus she doesn't start till June so I could just stay at Studios till she start up by my house!!! I'm very excited!!!
Anyways.. I tend to ramble. My first class was awesome, Erica and I are the youngest which I don't find surprising, I wasent sure what the age range would be but its great for all women, its such great exercise and wow the women I see who are older 30 plus or whatever, wow they are in great shape, ( so far my instroctor and a fellow lady in my class) She is HAWT!! And I want to look good when I'm older too. That why I've stopped tanning ( its hard but ill be going back and covering my face again, before summer but till then i'm white!)
So yes the first class had women of all ages which is awesome. We started with some stretching, then we were taught a few spins and basic stuff. It looks so simple when you seen it done but its alot harder to actually do, JUST A SPIN. Let alone all the holding up and inverts and stuff people can do! So after my first class I felt so sore the next day. I knew I would be cause even just 5 min of playing on a pole at a bar or something and the next day I could feel it. I spent a whole class doing it. And it was awesome, my arms hurt and I had bruises on my legs. The bruises were on my shins cause the first class when i did just a basic spin I guess, ( I'm not complete with all move terms.) so my shin would hit the pole.<- which reminds me of rugby:(
I really wanted to do pole and rugby at the same time, but since I majorly fucked up my wrist in my final high school grade 12 season..( wow just my fucking luck eh.. brutal) That made me so upset I absolutely love rugby. So I was planning on going back this season. I was gonna play Assisans but that was another 250 bones for rugby due on the 24th. And practices were on days I worked. Ugh. So since my wrist still bothers me at times ( hasent yet in pole but I can guarantee it will) I'm just freaked to go back to rugby if it's not 100% .
So I'll take one more year off rugby and then we'll see. I'll be more fit by next year (POSITIVE THINKING! MIRACLES OF YOUR MIND!!! ) and that will make my return to rugby better, rather then now, all lazied up. I play no sports anymore my only excersie is the gym, and jogging working out at home. I really do enjoy doing these most of the time. But when I'm sick or on my lady time its hard to have the energy. And the gym has been pissing me off lately, I owe them 70 bucks and keep avoiding it. Imtv or something.
Anyways! Yes.
But I'm just getting off an awful cold. 3/5 women in my class were sick, me being one of them. But I wasn't as sick as another lady, she couldn't even have the strength to lift herself up. Ahh well I made it through and even being sick I finally nailed all the moves! Well at least I felt like I did. I'm sure my inward and outward plies weren't the best but the spins! Omg!! When I first got the pin wheel down I was so excited. I just wanted to spin all freaking class. And Erica got it too! It was sweet last week we were clueless and now its getting fun cause we are understanding it!
Next week my goals are to just keep pushing myself in class and only get better , Its so fun how could I not!!! I hope we learn some new stuff but can work on the other stuff cause I wanna feel it out more. UGHHHH wish I had my own pole!!! Once a week pole time is not enough right now! I might have a pole in a few weeks.. FINGERS CROSSED!!
I love dancing around the house and I'm itching for a pole so bad! I find my self practicing with an imaginary pole ( L IS FOR LOSER.) I'm already songs to pole too. Which I also love about my class she plays lots of good tunes!! I need a bit more rockish music in there, just mixed in with everything else thats really good. I like all types of tunes so I basically bust a move to anything!
In conclusion I think that's all I'm going to write about pole for today. I've taken so many breaks and rambled about other topics. Geez louise.
and from now on I'm posting what I'm listening to. In my own journals I always write down what I'm listening too. It helps me when I read over something and I can get back to the moment, and also remember some great tunes( at least in my humble opinion) .
